HOW CAN I START WORKING WITH YOU?

To get started, simply fill out a contact inquiry form and I will reach out to you via email within 48 hours. Remember to check your junk inbox in case you don't receive a response within the two days period.

CAN I USE MY INSURANCE/ BENEFITS COVERAGE FOR OUR SESSIONS

Absolutely. As long as your insurance company specifically offers counselling coverage, you are able to claim our sessions. Some of those include: Pacific Blue Cross, Sun Life, Green Shield Canada, iA Financial Group, and Equitable Life of Canada.


Please ensure that your policy covers "counsellors." Some insurance companies such as Claimsecure distinguishes between therapeutic and clinical counsellors. If your policy specifies "clinical counsellors" it may not be covered.

WHAT SHOULD I PREPARE FOR MY INITIAL SESSION?

To get the most out of our session time together, reflect on what brings you in and what goals you hope to obtain through working together. Sometimes, the reason and your goals can become more apparent once we begin our dialogue. It's okay to not have a goal in mind, but just need someone to listen.

CAN YOU PRESCRIBE ME MEDICINE?

No. Counsellors in BC use various methods to evaluate, treat, and provide emotional support and resources to aid in the well-being of individuals but cannot prescribe medicine or an official diagnoses.

Psychiatrists on the other hand, can provide diagnoses, and treats mental disorders. They hold a medical degree and work closely with medicine.
